JOSEPH ROBILLARD, CO-PRESIDENT
Within Consumer & Retail, Joseph spends his time exploring new brands and ideas in skincare, pet, experiential retail, and consumer services. Before the GSB, he worked in Investment Banking at Guggenheim’s Consumer & Retail group, as well as at Monogram Capital, a Private Equity firm that invested in consumer and manufacturing businesses. This summer, he will be working at Glowbar, a beauty services company with studios providing facials across the northeast. Joseph is originally from Winter Park, Florida and graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018.
MICHELLE HAN, CO-PRESIDENT
Michelle loves all things consumer & retail, but is in particular passionate about CPG and beauty products that empower and bring joy to as many people as possible. Prior to coming to the GSB, she first worked in management consulting before transitioning to a strategy and innovation role at an electric utility, looking at how consumers will interact with energy and the grid in a net-zero world. This summer, she will be working as a brand manager at P&G at its Cincinnati headquarters. Michelle is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Southern California in 2018.
MASON MONTGOMERY, CFO
When it comes to consumer goods, Mason has an intense passion for how product development and brand messaging intersect with consumer psychology to unlock purchase decisions and build long term brand loyalty. He started off his career as a global formulation scientist for Unilever skin care, before transitioning to a product development role for a hyper-growth startup in Los Angeles. Mason is originally from Orlando, FL and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
AKSHITA JAIN, VP OF EVENTS
Akshita is passionate about sustainability and innovation in the Consumer world. Prior to the GSB, she began her career in consulting, supporting financial services players to build strategies for their consumer-facing products, then founded an apparel resale marketplace to propel the secondhand movement in India. Reach out to Akshita if you’re keen to chat about sustainable fashion, tech / material innovation, consumer insights or design thinking; she would love to share her journey exploring these verticals and functions and is happy to brainstorm ways to connect you and your interests with the GSB C&R Club!
SOPHIE SCHICK, VP OF EVENTS
Sophie obsesses over consumer products and all things design. Prior to the GSB, she worked at Apple as a product designer working on packaging, BCG with a focus on product strategy, and Guild Capital as a Senior Associate supporting the venture capital firm’s consumer-focused investing in New York. Sophie grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from Harvard College in 2019 with a concentration in Mechanical Engineering. GLORIA ODOEMELAM, VP OF TREKS
Gloria is passionate about delivering meaningful, elevated experiences through consumer products and retail goods. Prior to the GSB, Gloria was a product marketing manager at YouTube focused on creating a stellar user experience for the YouTube Music and Premium subscriptions products. She is also a trained jewelry designer and metalsmith currently building a science-backed jewelry brand, Armorie, so she’s thoroughly explored the GSB’s entrepreneurship resources when it comes to building in the consumer and retail space. SEA WACHAKORN, VP OF TREKS
Sea grew up immersed in the world of food and beverages in Bangkok, Thailand. She worked for Southeast Asia’s leading luxury mall and had experience in all retail channels from traditional trade to online platforms. Sea studied BBA at Chulalongkorn University, with a major in international business.
JULIA SUN, VP OF COMMS
Julia is passionate about anything consumer, especially at the intersection of fashion and technology. Prior to the GSB, she worked at McKinsey in the SF office focusing on Apparel, Fashion & Luxury. On the side, she has also founded an e-commerce fashion brand, 2801project, with two co-founders, selling handbags and accessories in China and the US. Julia grew up in China and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2020 with a major in Applied Mathematics and a minor in Music.
